山水人2025にむけて
年明け早々から『山水人』の準備を始め気づかされた事は、今年は戦後80年、広島・長崎の被爆から80年の節目を迎えます。 かつて戦争を身近に語っていた世代も減り、戦争が物語となりつつある21世紀に入って、いまだに、なお大きな戦争が起こる現実に大きな驚きと悲しみを覚えます。
私に、そして山水人に何ができるのか？ 無力感はあるけれど、平和を意識し、話し合い、祈り、伝えることは続けていきたい。 『World Peace Gathering in Japonesiya』という大きな名のもと、微力ながら世界に平和の思いを発信できたらと思います。
まずは、一人一人の内なる『平和』を見つめ、それが周囲へと広がれば世界も変わるかもしれない。 これは幻想かも、幼い理想論かもしれないけれど?？
宮沢賢治は「世界がぜんたい幸福にならないうちは 個人の幸福はあり得ない」と究極の理想を語っています。 限定的な小さな社会、共同体『山水人』が、参加者一人一人にとって『平和』や『幸福』について何かのヒントとなることを願っています。（2025.3.1 福村祖牛）

"Towards YAMAUTO 2025"
As we began preparing for YAMAUTO early in the new year, we realized that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The generation that once spoke of war firsthand is dwindling, and war is becoming a distant story. Yet, even in the 21st century, large-scale wars continue to occur, leaving us with deep shock and sorrow.
What can I do? What can YAMAUTO do?
Although we may feel powerless, we must continue to be conscious of peace—discuss it, pray for it, and share it. Under the name "World Peace Gathering in Japonesiya," we hope to send our thoughts of peace to the world, even if only in a small way.
First, we must look within ourselves to find our own peace.
If that peace spreads from one person to another, perhaps the world will change.
This may be an illusion or an idealistic dream—but what if it’s not?
Kenji Miyazawa once expressed the ultimate ideal:
"As long as the entire world is not happy, individual happiness cannot exist."
YAMAUTO is a small, limited community, but we hope it can serve as a source of inspiration for each participant to reflect on peace and happiness.
